The Bevin Kalathil Varughese (BKV) Memorial Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit foundation (application waiting approval) and was created as a living and loving tribute to Bevin K. Varughese to honor and preserve the memory of Bevin and to keep his generous spirit alive. The BKV Memorial Foundation, Inc. will celebrate the life and accomplishments of Bevin and his valiant fight against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). This charitable and voluntary organization founded by friends and family in 2008 is an offshoot of The South Asian Cancer Foundation (SACF) which was founded by Bevin and his friends after he entered his remission from ALL in 2004. The foundation aims to continue his vision which is to raise awareness of leukemia, especially amongst the South Asian Community. The BKV Memorial Foundation has the intention: to continue the work started through Swab4Bevin by stressing the importance and recruiting as many individuals as possible to register with the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) so that patients can find their vital match and thus improve the long-term survival rate for those diagnosed with blood cancers; to offer outreach and to provide comfort to those diagnosed and to their family and friends; to assist patients financially who cannot afford their cost of treatment; to support research at various institutions in their efforts to finding a cure and in developing better treatment options so that one day every patient diagnosed will survive and lead a long and healthy life.

The Bevin Kalathil Varughese Memorial Foundation, Inc. hopes to uphold the noble work started by Bevin and to further accomplish the goals of this foundation by hosting various charitable and memorial events such as, but not limited to; fundraisers, bone marrow drives, a scholarship, annual sporting events and an annual charity memorial dinner.

To realize his vision and preserve his memory and legacy, The Bevin Kalathil Varughese Foundation, Inc. was created as a way to carry out his wish to assist others fighting the war against leukemia. Together we can make a difference and we thank you for your support.
